Our Purpose

AP Chem Score Calculators was built to give AP Chemistry students a fast, honest way to estimate their exam score from practice tests or the real thing — without pretending to be something it's not. We built one focused tool and did it well, rather than a generic multi-subject calculator template.

Independent Educational Resource

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the College Board. AP® and Advanced Placement® are trademarks registered by the College Board. We built this as an independent resource for students, using publicly available information about how the exam is structured and scored.

Our Methodology

Every estimate this site produces is built from a transparent, documented process — not a black box. We explain exactly what data is official versus estimated on our methodology page, and we keep our scoring configuration in a single reviewable file rather than scattering assumptions throughout the code.

Data Verification

Official score distribution figures are sourced directly from College Board's published data and re-checked against the source whenever we update the site. Estimated composite thresholds are reviewed on the same schedule and adjusted if new distribution data suggests a different curve.

Update Policy

We update score distribution data as soon as College Board releases new figures, generally in the months following each exam administration, and revisit our estimation model at the same time.
